Description: Kené kimono collection features hand-embroidered multicolored kené geometric patterns unique to the artisan. Kené in the Shipibo language refers to the design system of the Shipibo-Konibo people. Kené art is the design of lines systems and geometric patterns made by indigenous women of the Shipibo-Conibo. They are the healing visions of the Shipibo-Konibo when they consume ayahuasca. The Kené are sung when the women go across the lines with the finger over the embroidery expressing the emotions that they reflect. For the Shipibo, the embroidery are illustrations of the underlying vibrational make-up of the universe.
